Using Morningstar’s intellectual property, the team creates indexes that help investors monitor markets, benchmark performance, support asset allocation decisions, and achieve their investment goals. Morningstar Indexes offers a broad suite of global equity, fixed income, commodity, and multi-asset indexes.
The Role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to help shape and deliver technology solutions that support Morningstar’s Indexes applications and platforms. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, discovery discussions, design reviews, sprint planning, and delivery checkpoints to ensure alignment across teams.
• Work closely with engineering and QA teams to deliver solutions that meet expectations for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, quality, timelines, and alignment with Indexes objectives.
• Support product demos, UAT coordination, release readiness, stakeholder communication, and adoption of delivered capabilities.
• Analyze workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend scalable product or platform improvements.
• Promote strong product discipline, clear prioritization, collaborative decision making, and continuous improvement across the team.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, technology delivery, or software solutions, preferably in financial services, capital markets, or a data-driven technology environment.
• Strong ability to translate business and operational needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, sprint planning, stakeholder prioritization, and release coordination.
• Working knowledge of APIs, databases, data models, cloud platforms, and modern application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or data analysis tools to support requirement validation, issue triage, and product decision making.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
