About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Loan Product specialist to oversee the governance, design, and lifecycle management of Equipment and Vehicle Financing products for Mid-Cap and SME clients. The role emphasizes robust product frameworks, risk discipline, and regulatory compliance across structured asset-based lending, ensuring sound portfolio performance and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Product Governance & Frameworks

Lead the design, standardization, and ongoing review of equipment/vehicle financing products (including Hire Purchase, Block Discounting, and Floor Stock financing).

Establish and maintain product programs, policy documents, and control frameworks across the product lifecycle.

Define and periodically review pricing methodologies, underwriting standards, and product parameters in alignment with risk appetite.

Ensure alignment of product features with internal risk policies and regulatory expectations.

Portfolio Oversight & Risk Discipline

Monitor portfolio health metrics including asset quality, utilization, delinquencies, and residual value exposure.

Partner with Risk functions to refine and enforce credit policies specific to asset-backed lending.

Oversee collateral governance, including valuation standards, insurance requirements, asset tracking, and recovery protocols.

Drive early warning indicators, stress monitoring, and corrective action frameworks.

Process, Controls & Systems

Strengthen end-to-end control points across origination, underwriting, documentation, and servicing.

Drive standardization, automation, and auditability of workflows, ensuring strong process governance.

Oversee system capabilities supporting asset tracking, documentation integrity, and lifecycle monitoring.

Ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and traceability for internal and regulatory requirements.

Governance, Compliance & Assurance

Maintain full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.

Lead product governance forums, approvals, and change management processes.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of product documentation, including program guidelines and operating procedures.

Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation actions where required.

Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure consistent application of product standards.

Act as the central point for product-related governance, issue resolution, and policy interpretation.

Key Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.

8–12 years of experience in equipment/vehicle financing, asset finance, leasing, or structured lending, with a strong focus on product governance and risk management within SME/Mid-Corp segments.

Strong understanding of asset-based financing structures (Equipment & vehicle Financing).

Familiarity with collateral management, asset valuation, and recovery processes.

Experience in defining product policies, controls, and audit/compliance frameworks.

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management practices in asset finance.
